Aspirin: Aspirin is also very effective to get relief. You can give this drug to your dog only for short period; this drug is also suggested by veterinarian only for short span of time because long term use of this drug can cause some side effects including possibility of bleeding. Aspirins are best for stomach and can be used with food.

Tramadol: Tramadol is also used as pain reliever for dogs when they feel weakness in their body. Tramadol is usually recommended for aging dogs with endless discomfort, this drug causes some side effects too: stomach problem, low heart beat rate and constipation are some of the side effect which may your pet face after using this medicine.

Amantadine: Amantadine is usually used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease in human being. This medicine is also used for dogs to get rid of arthritis pain and disk diseases; this medicine has some side effects including diarrhea and nervousness.

Gabapentin: Gabapentin is also used in humans and dogs for the treatment of damaged nerves. This medicine may make your dog lethargic for some days after some period of using this medicine this problem goes away.

For all these reasons you can use NSAIDs or other medicines to get better feel your dog. Drug companies are designed some specific medicine only for pets to get pain relief that are more effective and saver than those designed for human beings these medicines may include etodolac, carprofen, meloxicam and deracoxib.
